ImagePoverty is a complex problem, and finding real, long-term solutions requires wholistic, integrated strategies that address those complexities. The diagram below illustrates just some of the factors contributing to poverty that must be addressed.

Sustainable solutions to poverty can only be achieved at the initiative of the poor themselves. Delivering services will provide short-term relief, but can create unhealthy dependencies in the long run that stifle initiative and productivity.
