Dr. Jody Collinge has written thousands of CHE lessons and gives oversight to the development of curriculum for the Global CHE Network. A pediatrician by trade, she has heard God’s call and served Him in missions from her home base of Zihuatanejo, Mexico. She continues to find her calling to serve children as she developed “Children’s CHE”, a community health evangelism program being used worldwide. She is an avid researcher and holds a degree in Tropical Medicine.
Tom and Heidi are people who follow Isaiah’s example, “Here am I, Lord, send me!” Tom and Heidi made lifestyle changes in order to serve the Lord in missions. They both serve in their respective medical professions, Tom as a Christian Psychologist and Heidi as a Medical Doctor, but have set aside time to serve the Lord when the opportunity arises. They joined Terry last year at a Million Village Challenge Consultation and are now working to get consultations around the world organized. Through these gatherings, we pray that Community Health Evangelists will grasp the need for multiplication–beyond projects to movements!
Jeannie and Terry have had hearts to serve together in missions since the day they met. They served as church planters in the Philippines for ten years, learning two Filipino languages. Upon returning to the states, Jeannie went back to school, receiving a degree in nursing and has been caring for people at the hospital bedside for nearly 20 years. God has recently opened the door to allow her to use her gifts in communication to work alongside Terry at the GCN office. They have been married for 40 years. She is blessed with three grown children and their spouses and four grandchildren–each one brings a smile to her face!
Jenna Schmid comes to the Global CHE Network with a love for Jesus and a heart for serving the disabled. She graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy with the desire to use her training in missions. She met her husband, Guido, in Haiti when they served together on a Joni & Friends short-term trip. Jenna and Guido have led teams for Joni & Friends in both Poland and Ghana. Jenna has worked as a Physical Therapist for a number of years in a clinical setting, most recently at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. God has now made a way for Jenna to serve full time in missions—we are blessed to have her on the Service Team.
Miche’s job description does not give her due credit. On our team she might be known as the “All-around, amazing, adaptable servant of the Lord”. She has a “can do” attitude and gets the job done, whatever task may be put in front of her! Miche’ developed a passion for missions work at a young age. She loves seeing God work throughout the world and hearing people’s “God stories”. Miche’ is married to Michael Darnell. They have two teenage children. The family enjoys serving together in various capacities in their community.
Terry founded the CHE Network in 2008 and serves as Coordinator of the Global CHE Network Service Team.
After years of service in the Philippines as a church planter, Terry pioneered Community Health Evangelism for Medical Ambassadors International (MAI) in nine countries in Southeast Asia, working together with partners to establish CHE ministries in more than 400 communities. Later as International Coordinator at MAI, he guided the expansion of a growing CHE movement with a truly global footprint. He is a capable teacher, trainer, and enthusiastic speaker on Biblical wholism and transformational development. He recently authored the book, Beyond Poverty: Multiplying Sustainable Community Development. Terry is married to Jeannie who works beside him in the Global CHE Network office.
Tim comes to the GCN Service Team with a wealth of experience which equips him well to serve as our Field Operations Manager.
Tim has spent most of his life in West Africa, having grown up in the the remote, agricultural village of Sanekuy. He and his wife, Ruth, met while they were in college and then served the Lord as a family in Burkina Faso with a focus on community development. This initial focus on Burkina Faso soon expanded into a regional role, training and empowering leadership in multiple countries.
After 23 years of serving as a West Africa regional community development consultant and facilitator, Tim was asked to join ECHO Inc. in Fort Myers, Florida. While Tim's primary role during his 14 years at ECHO was in the capacity of Chief Operations Officer, Tim has always been passionate about the whole (wholistic) gospel given to the whole church for the whole world. This reality has been a driving force and significantly shaped the heart of his ministry!
Tim and Ruth have three adult children, all of whom were born in West Africa. They also have one granddaughter, who has captured their hearts and requires frequent visits.
Kristen was born and raised in Mentor, Ohio and is a lover of God and a lover of people. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a BA in Psychology and Sociology and has always had a desire to see lives transformed through the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Kristen comes to us with a background in social work, business administration, women’s ministry, global missions, relationship management, sustainable tropical agriculture and community development. She and her husband Garrett share five sons and reside in Alva, Florida. Almost empty nesters, together they enjoy walking their dog, spending time with family and friends, exploring God’s creation and serving the worship ministry at their local church. Kristen is most fulfilled when her values and vocation are fully aligned, and she is overjoyed to have found this balance again serving as the GCN Member Services Specialist.
Karen grew up in the Philippines as a missionary kid and served on several short-term mission teams as a young adult. She has a heart for Jesus and seeks to serve those around her in whatever ways she is called. These days that looks a lot like running a household: grocery shopping, folding laundry, and taking care of her husband, their energetic 4-year-old son, and big, rambunctious dog! She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Grand Canyon University and serves the Global CHE Network as our part-time administrative assistant.
